Fireworks Plainfield and Naperville


If you’re looking for the best place to celebrate this Fourth of July, here is our guide to scheduled fireworks, parades, and more in the local area near Stewart Ridge.


Fireworks: Dusk July 3.

Plainfield Central High School, 24120 W. Fort Beggs Drive.

Part of the town’s Patriotic Picnic and Fireworks, festival, the event celebrates the military and includes a bike parade, big trike races, inflatables, face painting, touch a truck, dance performance, DJ and the retiring of the colors led by the American Legion


Fireworks: 9:30 p.m. July 4th

Knoch Park, 724 S. West St.

Fireworks conclude Ribfest, which runs July 1 – 4 and includes a carnival, ribs, bands like Sheryl Crow and Gin Blossoms, and children’s activities. Enter the park for free beginning at 7:30 p.m. to watch the fireworks, or find several locations nearby to watch.


Fireworks: 9:45 p.m. July 4th

Bolingbrook Golf Club, 2001 Rodeo Drive.

The free part begins at 2 p.m. with food trucks, bands, and kids activities; at 9:45 p.m. Jim Cornelison sings the National Anthem.


Fireworks: 9:30 p.m. July 4

Prairie Point Park, 313 E. Washington St.

All fireworks viewers are encouraged to use the Traughber Junior High School, Eastview Elementary, Prairie Point Elementary and the parking lots of Oswego High School. Best viewed from Prairie Fest Park and Prairie Elementary School.


Fireworks: 9:30 p.m. July 3

Deer Crossing Park, 1050 W. Romeo Road.

The celebration begins at 6 p.n. with activities, food and live music from Fletecher Rockwell and Wedding Banned.


Fireworks: Dusk July 4

Near the corner of Route 47 and Countryside Pkwy.

The Yorkville Big Band will perform at 8 p.m. at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home. There is a parade at 9 a.m.


Fireworks: Dusk Aug 14

Montgomery Park, River and Mill streets.

Highlights of Montgomery Fest include live music, a carnival, food vendors, free pony rides and a petting zoo, fishing derby, car show, and parade.


Fireworks: 9:45 p.m. July 1-3

Lisle Community Park, 1825 Short Street. Price $5

Fireworks run every night of the Eyes to the Skies festival, which includes hot air balloons, bands, a carnival, craft fair, parade, and children’s activities.
